Senior Audio DSP Engineer

Location: Boston, MA

We are searching for a brilliant audio DSP research engineer with significant psychoacoustic experience. You will be the key R&D / technical mind within our software team which develops and codes audio algorithms for SoundCheck, Listen’s flagship electroacoustic test software. This unique position faces both intellectual and business challenges and requires commitments to following-through, testing, and implementation in order for the team to deliver critical software releases. You will get to mentor and train less experienced team members, as well as contribute to technical papers which are presented at conferences such as AES.

A proven track record with audio DSP and signal processing algorithms is essential, as well as a strong background in psychoacoustics as perceptual audio measurements are a key focus in Listen’s product development.  You will have experience and accomplishments turning concepts proposed by management, customers and team members into reality by developing, coding, testing, integrating, and correlating them to human listeners and existing methods.  Holding high standards, paying strict attention to detail, and taking pride in your work as well as having a willingness to collaborate and openly discuss challenges with others are key attributes that are required for this role.

The Product

SoundCheck is a powerful large scale LabVIEW-based electroacoustic test software solution, used for R&D and production line testing of loudspeakers, microphones, hearing aids, telephones, headphones, headsets, MP3 players, and other audio electronics.
