Firestone Financial - Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing

Serves as Firestone Financial’s chief sales and marketing officer and provides leadership, vision, and management of all aspects of the daily operations of the sales, inside sales and marketing functions. Works under the general direction of the EVP & COO, and serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Senior Management Team, ex-officio member of Credit Committee, and other committees as determined by EVP & COO.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors and staff (other duties may be assigned):

Engage with the COO and ELT to grow the company’s mission, vision, values, goals, and key measurements by developing short and long range plans, strategies, policies and operating procedures; understands the company’s strategic business goals and will use this information to develop sales and marketing strategies and programs to support these goals.  Monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.

Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the sales, inside sales, and marketing functions.  Design, establish, and maintain structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the departments’ goals and objectives. Specific responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.

Develop and direct the formulation and execution of sales objectives consistent with the company’s overall strategic and tactical goals, for current and new industries/markets, including strategies for existing and new customers. Oversee trade shows, field visits, sales proposals, and other customer related activities. Direct and manage sales pipelines, budgets and projections for all markets.  Use company salesforce applications and insure that they are being used consistently within the department.

Supervise and direct marketing objectives for current and new markets, including all communications, public relations, and advertising campaigns; supervise and direct inside sales strategies, including but not limited to telemarketing campaigns and internal closing initiatives.

Establish and maintain budgets for new business volume, yields, sales and marketing expenses, sales commissions, and submit forecasts and other financial and operational reports to management.

Evaluate and recommend changes to the company’s products and pricing strategies related to competition in current and existing markets.

Direct new business development initiatives, including but not limited to potential transaction syndications and new market penetrations.
